Brief information:

Dosimeter-radiometer MKS-2001 it is used for radiation monitoring in institutions where the works with radioactive materials and other radiation-dangerous sources of ionizing radiation.

Dosimeter-radiometer MKS-2001 is multifunctional stationary device with digital display readings, microprocessor control and the ability to connect exchangeable detection units (devices) BDMG-04, UDZhG-01, UDGB-01, BDMG-101, BDMN-100, shielded cable connected to the measurement unit BOI-12 or BOI-12-01. Alarm unit BIC-17 (supplied by customer request) is designed to duplicate the light and sound signals of the measured value exceeds the specified thresholds.

Detection unit (device) converts the measured physical quantity into a sequence of pulses at the output. The signals from the unit (device) detection to the input unit of measurement, where they are processed.

Dosimeter-radiometer provides a setting of two thresholds of the alarm - a warning threshold and an emergency threshold. Threshold alarm is indicated by elements of light and sound alarm. Light and sound alarm threshold is made to display the elements of green, yellow, red and sound alarm installed on the unit of measurement BOI-12.

Depending on the factors set the settings, if the threshold is exceeded the audio alarm. Every fact trigger threshold alarms recorded in the log. When you turn on dosimeter-radiometer automatically identifies the type of the connected detection unit (device).

During operation, the dosimeter-radiometer provides automatic switching of the measurement range for detection units with switching of ranges and accumulation of measured values in the memory (log of measured values) with the frequency set in the setting parameters.

Unit of measurement BOI-12 is designed for:

• counting of electrical impulses coming from the detection unit is connected; • determine the average count rate of input pulses; • calculation of measurement results obtained on the basis of the average count rate of the pulse sequence input; • LCD output measurement results; • issue of light and sound signals in excess of specified thresholds (warning and emergency); • supplying power to the detection unit; • recording and storing data in the logs; • transmitting and receiving information via RS-232 and RS-485.

The MKS-2001 dosimeter-radiometer has passed the state acceptance tests for assessing compliance with the technical regulations of legally regulated measuring equipment approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №94 dated 13.01.2016, has a type inspection certificate № UA.TR.113-0064/03-17 version 2 dated 24.12.19.
